- Dear Mr Issacs,
- Further to your letter to me dated 13/4/94, I was most
- intrigued to hear that you had found several of the hidden messages on
- the subscribers disk. I hadn't exactly hidden them out of the way, but
- they aren't really the sort of thingyou bump into casually. Anyway, we do
- have a model of the Enterprise, but it is too big to fit onto the disk, as
- it's over 1 Mb in size. It also needs around 10Mb of memory to
- render, so I don't think that many of our readrers would be able to use
- it.
-
- You mentioned including the names and addresses of people who have
- found the hidden message somewhere. Well, I've only had a handful of
- replies, so obviously most people aren't finding it.
- The ROTAS
- OPERA
- TENET
- AREPO
- SATOR square featured in IFF form on one disk is a very old
- inscription found in many places. Some hold that it has magical
- properties, and that there are a variety of numerical pattern hidden
- within the letters. Others believe it to be a lovers charm, but who knows
- what it really is? Anyway, it's quite a fun thing, so I decided to stick
- it on.
-
- Who is Dan? Dan is Dan Slingsby, Ex-editor of CU Amiga and now editor of
- PC Format. We found out that he had subscribed to AF, so I decided to send
- him a little message.
-
- Cheers,
-
